Hello, I’m Bailey - I’m the person behind Island Pet Care.
I started Island Pet Care because I wanted to provide a personal, reliable and thoughtful alternative to traditional pet care. When you’re away from home, whether that’s for a few hours, a full day or a holiday, I know how important it is to have someone you can trust looking after your pets. I am fully insured which allows peace of mind when leaving your furry friends at home when you’re away!
I have lived on the island since I was born and animals have always been a huge part of my life, so I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you can genuinely trust.
With four cats, a hamster and a horse of my own, I know a thing or two about pet care! In my younger years, my family also had rabbits and dogs. While I don’t have a canine friend of my own, I love dogs of all breeds.
I understand that every pet is different. Some pets are happiest heading out for a long walk and exploring somewhere new, while others would much rather stay at home, have some company and follow their usual routine. Some pets need lots of attention and play, whilst others are a little more independent. My approach is always to work around the animal, rather than expecting them to fit around a set routine.

Our dog walking service provides your dog with the exercise, stimulation and attention they need throughout the day.
Whether your dog loves a big adventure or prefers a gentle stroll, walks can be tailored to their age, personality and individual needs.

Going away? Your pets can stay in the comfort of their own home.
Our pet sitting service is designed to keep your animals happy and settled in their familiar surroundings, maintaining their usual routines wherever possible.
We care for all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, birds and other small animals.

From £35 per night (if more than 2 pets, £2 per extra) -
Sometimes they just need someone to pop in. Our home visits provide your pet with dedicated one-to-one attention while you’re out for short periods.
Visits can include feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime, exercise, cuddles and general care - all based around your pet’s usual routine.

For the past 2 years I have used Bailey a number of times as we go away about 2-3 times a year for up to 2 weeks at a time. Bailey moves in and looks after my home as if it is her own.
But more importantly my pets are incredibly well looked after. I have not ever met a more dedicated and natural animal person. The animals are her priority and she will, whilst sticking to your house rules, always put them first. (Our dogs sleep on the bed with my daughter and does with Bailey when she house sits. We've recently rescued a new pheasant - now a teenage house pheasant with attitude and even Seren has not phased Bailey who looks after her and cleans up after her continually whilst we are away. I highly recommend her.
